Familiar is a personal ritual and celestial companion app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do with it.

What we collect

Your email address, used to create and manage your account via Apple Sign In or email authentication
Your birth date, birth time, and birth location, used to generate your natal chart and celestial readings
A chosen name and the result of your familiar summoning, stored as part of your personal profile
Reflections and notes you write within the app, stored privately to your account
Notification preferences you set within the app

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email only to tell you when Familiar is ready, and you can ask us to remove it at any time by writing to hello@meetfamiliar.app.

How we use it

Your information is used only to provide the app's features — generating readings, displaying your chart, scheduling notifications, and saving your personal content. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the experience you signed up for.

Third-party services

Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting
Anthropic — AI generation for your familiar and readings (your ritual answers and birth context are sent to generate your result, then discarded)
Open-Meteo — anonymous weather forecast lookups by approximate location for notification context
Apple — push notification delivery

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not build profiles for targeting. Your ritual answers, reflections, and personal details are yours.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely via Supabase. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@meetfamiliar.app.

Children

Familiar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
